Wondering where you might spy some famous faces this week during South by Southwest?  Austin’s trendy hotels would be a good place to start:

The Newest Chic Address in Austin

On December 9, 2010, the W Hotel opened its Second Street doors to guests. Along with the new Austin City Limits studios, this swanky part of town has it all: shops, restaurants, bars. The W Residence will open soon, with all the luxurious perks of the hotel.  Those  perks for hotel guests and residents include a spa, views of Town Lake and rooftop pool.

Historic and Classy

Built in 1886 and situated in the heart of the Sixth Street district, the Driskill is a place that highlights the classier side of Austin.  It’s a great place to sit in the bar and people watch or have an extravagant dinner out.  For out-of-towners, the Driskill is the perfect introduction to Austin.

Hip and Trendy

The San Jose Hotel in the SoCo area is quintessential Austin. The Continental Club is across the street, so it is the perfect location to take in plenty of live music this week.  Plus unique shops, trendy bars and top rated restaurants abound. This hotel is glamour and kitsch rolled into one.

Familiar Luxury

We recently highlighted the Four Seasons Hotel.
